ANM2 spade grips Resin handles
This site was last updated March 12, 2007

Polyurethane resin reproductions of original W.W.II
Bakelite
spade grip handles, cast from unissued originals.

If you are curious about the process, or how this project came to be, click on the magazine cover above for an article that appeared in the March issue of Small Arms Review.

Please take the time to read the information on the Product Information  &  Handle Installation Information pages so that you can best decide what your needs are. The length of these handles cannot be altered without reducing the quality and appearance. The original mounting configurations were designed to fit the ergonomics of the original handles.

Finger Rest Projection

The projection of the finger rest on the original spade grips handle changed from the ANM2 to the K12. While the cross sections of the two handles are almost identical, the finger rest on the K12 does not project at the sides in the manner of the ANM2 handle.. It is also less blunt. Since the ANM2 finger rest is more prominent, the index finger is fully supported and the feel of the handle is more positive.

ORDERING INFORMATION

I will need to know the style & color as well as the type of mounting hole you would like:

Style:
ANM2, K12, or FN30

Color:
Black or Dark Brown (often referred to as red). I can make other shades if you would like to match a Parkerizing job, gray for instance. It's an eyeball thing - I'll get as close to your color as I can.

Mounting Hole:
5/8": keyed hole (1/8" key slot at rear of handle which keeps handle facing forward) for the ANM2, Colt MG40, Colt MG38B and all original GI spade grips & adapters using the finger rest handles & splined tubes. Also a direct replacement for
TNW, Ohio Ordnance, or original round GI tubes lacking the spline on the tube.

.46": for use with spanner bolts made from 1/2" carriage bolts (see details on Handle Installation Info page).

The FN30 handle has a set, original spec keyed center hole.

POSTAGE: for the lower 48 states - $5.00 for the first set, and $1.00 for each additional set.
(I will deal with postage on orders from anywhere else on a case by case basis.)

E-mail me at jon@liberatorcrew.com for payment information. I will give you my address and confirm I can fill the order. Don't send money until you have confirmation from me that I can fill your order in a timely manner. I will take orders and fill them in the order I get them. Please allow 2 weeks for delivery of handles. It will probably not take that long, but I never know when I am going to blow out a mold, or have to deal with some other unforeseen problem. I accept PayPal and personal checks as well as Postal money orders - basically any form of payment that does not involve livestock.

                                                 RETURNS
Polyurethane resin is tough stuff, much stronger than Bakelite. I have placed a section of a handle with the 1/4" center hole on an anvil and hammered it repeatedly with a 3lb. hand sledge and was unable to inflict more than some superficial marring. The handles with the larger 5/8" center hole have a thinner resin wall, and though still very resistant to breakage, can be broken. The only failure I have had resulted from pulling the handle sideways against a center tube inserted only about 1/2". If you have a problem of any kind, let me know and I'll do what I can to straighten it out. If you aren't happy with the handles for any reason (aren't what you expected, etc.) send them back, unaltered, of course, and I'll refund your money. I don't want to get into a long list of legal disclaimers. I assume we will all do the right thing.
