I hope the information on this site will be useful to those interested in the ANM2/Colt MG40 spadegrips, or spadegrip function in general. Anyone wishing to build a set of spadegrips might also find some useful information here. I have another site devoted to building spadegrips for the 1919, or any of the cal. .30 Brownings using the standard splined backplate. Use the BACK button in the upper left hand corner of this page to go to my links page, and find the spadegrip build site.

The photos and dimensions shown here were obtained by disassembling a set of ANM2 spadegrips and taking measurements using either a steel rule or dial caliper. Each dimension is expressed in the form appropriate for that device (inches or decimal fraction). I have tried to be as accurate as possible, but cannot guarantee there are no mistakes.

The Bakelite handles shown in the photos in the PARTS section are the original Bakelite handles. The handles shown in the PHOTOS section are resin reproductions I make. If you are interested in obtaining resin handles, click HERE.

Special thanks to Kris Hartwig of Hedgehog Mfg. for the extended loan of the ANM2 spadegrips shown here.
